Gutter Clearing

Gutters blocked with leaves, moss and debris overflow and force water back against the fascia and into the wall. We clear gutters thoroughly, check for damage and ensure water is flowing correctly into downpipes. Regular clearing — typically once or twice a year — prevents expensive damp and timber repairs.

What's involved

How we approach Gutter clearing work

Gutter clearing removes the build-up of leaves, moss, seedlings and compacted debris that accumulates over a season and blocks water flow. Blocked gutters overflow during rain, saturating fascias and forcing water back against the wall — which causes damp, timber decay and staining over time.

We clear gutters by hand and flush them through to confirm water is running freely to the downpipe. We check downpipes for blockages and assess the overall condition of the gutter run — if we spot anything cracked or loose we let you know.

Most properties benefit from gutter clearing once or twice a year — typically autumn after leaves have fallen and spring after winter debris. We can include gutter clearing as part of a combined service visit to keep costs down.

Questions

Common questions about Gutter clearing

How often should windows be cleaned?

For most homes, every 4–8 weeks keeps windows looking their best and prevents the build-up of algae and mineral deposits that become harder to shift over time. We offer 4-weekly, 6-weekly and 8-weekly regular schedules, or a one-off clean if that suits you better.

What is pure-water cleaning and why is it better?

Pure-water (deionised) window cleaning forces tap water through filters to remove all dissolved minerals. This purified water is fed to a soft brush head on a telescopic pole, which scrubs the glass and frame, then rinses it clean. Because there are no minerals in the water, it evaporates without leaving any spots or streaks — something tap water cannot do.
